A bunch of interesting Conus amadis forms, to whet your whistle!!
NOTE: ...Many specimens advertised as being of the arbornatalis form, are in fact ordinary amadis: it is therefore less common than a cursory Google search might indicate. The true arbornatalis comes from deep water (typically around 100 meters: far deeper than most amadis) , and is narrower than the nominative form, usually with a considerably higher spire as well. 30866A, below, is a superb example.

These next ones are an interesting deep-water form, allied with castaneofasciatis, but it always has a very dark pattern and it has far distinct bands. If i were in the business of splitting off named forms, i would most definitely give this one a proper name! Definitely an unusual local population.
